Journey to a coffee plantation in Meru, observing the full coffee production process—from planting and harvesting to roasting and brewing. Students learn about agriculture’s role in the Tanzanian economy and sustainability practices. Later, visit a local village or market, engaging with residents to understand daily life, local crafts, and Swahili culture.

Explore Arusha National Park, where students hike through savannahs, forests, and crater landscapes. Take a canoe safari on Momella Lakes, observing flamingos, pelicans, and other bird species. Study the unique ecosystem of Ngurdoto Crater, learning about habitat diversity and ecological balance.

Travel to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Students engage in guided wildlife observation, noting animal behaviour, conservation strategies, and biodiversity. This immersive day emphasizes ecological management and species protection.

Visit a Maasai Boma (village) for an authentic cultural experience. Students interact with Maasai families, learning about traditional beadwork, rituals, and social structures. Participate in storytelling, traditional dances, and community activities to understand local customs and cultural heritage.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Students observe the Big Five and other wildlife species while learning about geology, crater formation, and conservation practices. A guided lecture explores human-wildlife interaction and environmental protection in Tanzania.

Engage in a short community service project, such as visiting a local school or assisting in environmental initiatives, fostering social responsibility and cross-cultural understanding. Transfer back to Arusha for departure, taking with students a deep appreciation for Tanzania’s biodiversity and culture.
