Itinerary
Start with a brief city tour of Kampala before heading to Lake Mburo. Along the scenic 4-hour drive, enjoy views of papyrus swamps, rainforests, and Ankole cattle farms. After lunch in Mbarara, check in at your lodge, then head out for your first game drive along the Kigambira loop to spot giraffes, zebras, elands, buffaloes, and more.
Wake up early for a game drive along the Kazuma track to see impalas, waterbucks, bushbucks, zebras, and predators like hyenas and leopards. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, spotting water birds such as pelicans, fish eagles, and the elusive shoebill. End the day with a night game drive for nocturnal wildlife encounters.
Choose from a walking safari, horseback ride, quad biking, or birding. Visit a local Banyankore village to learn about their cattle-keeping culture. Later, depart for Kampala with a stop at the Equator for photos and optional visit to the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers.
