Itinerary
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge or hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight. Relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, drive southwest to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping at the Equator for photos and a fun experiment. Check in at your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. Overnight at your lodge.
Start the day with an early morning game drive to see zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, and bushbucks. After breakfast, check out and journey through the scenic Kigezi highlands toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Embark on a life-changing gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the forest with experienced rangers until you encounter a family of mountain gorillas. Spend an hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. In the evening, visit the Batwa community, Uganda’s indigenous forest people, for cultural performances and traditional stories.
After breakfast, drive back to Entebbe or Kampala for an overnight stay. Enjoy a relaxing evening before the next leg of your journey.
Travel to Kibale Forest, home to Uganda’s largest primate population. Arrive at your lodge, enjoy the forest views, and prepare for chimpanzee trekking.
Spend the morning trekking in Kibale to spot chimpanzees and other primates like red-tailed monkeys and colobus monkeys. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetlands, encountering birds, smaller mammals, and the local flora.
Travel to Queen Elizabeth NP, passing the Ishasha sector with its famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy game drives across the Kasenyi plains and a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, spotting hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and hundreds of bird species.
Relax at Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. Canoe through the calm waters, visit small islands, and enjoy a cultural walk along the lakeshore with local communities.
Return to Lake Mburo, where you will enjoy a boat ride to spot hippos and crocodiles. Later, embark on an evening game drive, viewing zebras, elands, impalas, and other savannah wildlife against the backdrop of rolling hills.
Start your final day with a guided nature walk or horseback safari, spotting wildlife up close in the morning light. Afterward, drive back to Entebbe, stopping at the Equator for photos, before being dropped off at the airport for your departure.
