Established in 1926 and divided by the River Nile, the park features diverse habitats including acacia savannahs, grasslands, wetlands, woodlands, and borassus palm forests, which support over 451 bird species and 87 mammal species, including the Big Five, commonly seen during game drives and boat cruises.
